It makes no sense that a real Ned character would even try anything remotely close to that. How and why he got the incredible idea to try trick Delilah and Henry there was this big conspiracy is left unexplained. A lot of the loose ends do not add up most likely because the devs didn't even think about them Ned probably do not know about an alternate route since it was caved in.īut in one aspect you are right. Scince he has to open up a new area for the plot to move forward. He just choose to use it on the pile of caved in rocks instead. Henry has the fire axe which can force open doors. There is no evidence Ned actually tries to trap Henry in the cave, it could be someone else, the door could close on it's own. A game mechanic to force the player to find them and not miss reading them)īut! Ned built an alarm for his migration backpack using an elk-collar and the girls stereo so with his knowledge of technology he should be able to figure out Henry was going to find the backpack later on. One dev gave the idea the elk collar ontop of the conspiracy documents where just a coincidence and not placed there by Ned (I.E. Supposedly Ned didn't know about the wave finder.which doesn't make any sense since he's a tech savvy freak that has raided the camp several times before. Ned has a type writer in his bunker he uses to forge fake documents, there are several scrapped tries in his bunker. It's insinuated that Ned has broken into the camp several times and stolen equipment and supplies for his bunker, a radio base station etc. The researchers had gone home for summer break. The wapiti station is meant to be a university research camp doing soil samples and what not. īut a lot of these loose ends make NO sense. I get it that there was supposed to be this "Ah-hah!" moment, "There was no conspiracy, it was just a crazy guy protecting the memory of his son!". Sorry, lots of questions, I don't expect all of them answered, but. WHO stripped the snowmobiles and why? Such a pointless red herring! If Ned's goals were to PREVENT Henry from finding this evidence, why give him the Wave-finder?Įspecially given that Henry had already voiced a desire to leave before this point in the story, it makes no sense that Ned had 'become desperate' and decided to trap Henry in the cave.įurthermore, it is not incredibly unlikely that Ned did not know there was an alternate route out of the cave? The only purpose of the Wave-finder is to give Henry access to the Cave keys, and later Brian's lost backpack. If Ned staged this scene to scare Henry into thinking he was the subject of a conspiracy, why would Ned provide Henry with the Wave-finder at this time? How the hell was Ned able to print files of documents explaining the surveillance being done on Henry and Delilah? How is that possible when she is a Supervisor of Shoshone with over a decade of experience?Īlso, Delilah can see that I am white & wearing shorts, but she cannot see a huge fence which is miles CLOSER to her lookout? This basically means that Delilah was either 'in on it' with Ned, or that Ned set up the fence as well (extremely unlikely). Or did Ned set up that ENTIRE site? Ned mentions that he was able to get the radio tower working, but the research facility looks almost entirely in use, with everything elaborately set up.Īlso, Delilah claims to have no knowledge of the Wapiti research facility (including the fence). So, the Wapiti research site was an innocent site being run by scientists? And then the scientists left or were absent, and Ned uses their site to trick Henry? People say that we are meant to believe that Ned staged a fake psychological research conspiracy in order to scare Henry out of the area of Brian's body. I am confused about what we saw at Wapiti.
